Group

My group member will be Mica.

Mica had an idea of Graffiti and I had an Idea about Tattoos.
We wanted to try to merge these two ideas together as they are both considered to be art and free expression.

In the end we took forward the idea of tattoos. We thought this would be an interesting topic to discuss as there are so many things you are able to talk about.

Research- Reasons for and against Tattoo's.

Reasons to Get a Tattoo

Memories
Many people nowadays get tattoo's in memory for someone close to them that has died. But another facet of the “memories” idea that is often overlooked would be things that you really loved at one point in life.

Tributes
While these may look very similar to Memories, there’s an important distinction: tributes are the kinds of things you’d get tattoos for people that haven’t died.

Passions
People enjoy to get tattoos of things they are passionate about because that is something they once enjoyed so surely they wouldn't regret getting it done. Personal passions are fairly few and far between, in my experience. If there’s something you truly love, then a tattoo is a great way to show off how you feel. And if you’re not quite so into that thing a few years down the road, then you can count it as a memory!

Bad Reasons for Getting a Tattoo

Your boyfriends/girlfriends name. Dating relationships have a 99.9% failure rate, so if you end up breaking up you'll have something you regret on your skin for the rest of your life.

“I just really like the design” (a.k.a., No Reason at All) – Even if your tattoo is in reference to something stupid, at least it’s in reference to something. Tattoos that have absolutely no meaning whatsoever.

Initial Idea

My first idea was to talk about Culture Tattoo's.

This interested me because there is so many Cultures we would be able to talk about and discuss.

Such as:

Tribal Tattoos.
The tribal style originates from the old tribes like the Celtic, the Maori tribes, the Haida tribes, the inhabitants of the Marquesan and the tribes of Borneo.

Tribal tattoo's have become very popular and a lot of people get them nowadays.

Concerning all Tribal styles the division in black and white is important. Not only of what has been tattood must have a good shape but also the parts that have been left blanc must also be well shaped.

It is important to have a tattoo done by someone who understands the different styles.

Research- Cat Man

Research for my main idea about Tattoos:

This is Cat Man, real name Dennis Avner.

During the day he works as a US computer programmer and becomes a feline by night.

He deeply believes that he has the spirit and soul of a tiger and even eats raw meat and climbs trees to feel more at one with his animal friends.

Dennis has transformed himself so much and now likes to be known simply as "Cat".

The 50-year-old has spent an enormous amount of money to change his face and body into a cat and definitely does not regret anything.

He says: "My work began in 1985, when I had extensive tattoo work on my face."

"Pretty much every inch of my body is covered in tiger tattoos, but I still have a couple of inches on the backs of my legs that need to be worked on. And yes, I do mean every inch."

He decided to transform himself into a cat because he believed he was ment to be one.

Evaluation of previous year 13

We had to evaluate the previous year 13 blogs to see what we could do in our own blog and what we shouldn't do

http://sarahmediaplanning.blogspot.com/

WWW:
1. I liked how there was a lot of visuals such as videos as if it was text based it would be too long to read all their information
2. They had clear visuals of the storyboard so i was able to read and understand them correctly
3. It was good that they showed the questionnaire answers into a pie chart and it was clear to read

EBI:
1. If they organised the spider diagram for documentary ideas differently it would have been more clear because it was very confusing as there was so many i didn't know where to start reading
2. If they wrote their process of documentaries so we could see what they done, if it got harder or easier
3. Could have had more PowerPoint's instead of just text based posts
